HOW SAFE IS THE TREATMENT?

Laser hair removal is a safe and long lasting treatment that can remove unwanted hair from the face and body.Laser hair removal works through a concentrated beam of light. The light is selectively absorbed by melanin, the pigment in the hair follicle. The light energy heats the pigment and effectively destroys the hair follicle without damaging the surrounding cells.
How is Treatment Carried Out?
The laser or Intense Pulsed Light is placed on the skin and a short pulse of light is released, which targets many follicles simultaneously. The applicator is then moved to the neighbouring area of skin and the process is repeated until the entire area is treated.
Am I Suitable for Treatment?
Most people are suitable for treatment. Best results are often achieved with clients who have fair skin and dark hair. Dark hair is more easily treated as it has a high concentration of melanin. Fair hair however, contains less melanin and is harder to treat. We recommend a consultation with our clinicians to ascertain if the treatment will be successful for you. Grey/white hair has no melanin so is not suitable for treatment.
What will I See After the Treatment?
The hair follicles are damaged by heat but the hairs remain in the follicles. The dead hairs shed after 1 – 3 weeks as the epidermis renews. During this period the hairs will seem to ‘grow’ as they are pushed out by the new epidermis. The skin may be red immediately after treatment and the hair follicles may be swollen and bumpy but this usually subsides within a few hours. Adverse reactions are rare but may include a small blister or temporary lightening or darkening of the skin.
How Many Treatments are Necessary?
Only hair that is actively growing is affected, therefore multiple treatments are needed. Treatment is conducted every 4 weeks depending on the area treated, until a satisfactory result is seen. The required number of treatments varies, but typically 6 or more treatments are needed for optimum results.
How Long Does Each Treatment Take?
Treatments can take as little as 5 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area. Prior to treatment, a consultation is conducted in which a medical history is taken to confirm suitability for treatment, there is also an opportunity for any questions you may have to be answered. Before treatment commences you must provide written consent. Consultation forms will be sent Via Email before you come into the clinic to check for any contraindications. Once we have received your consultation form back, You will then come in for a full consultation and treatment. You should make sure that the area to be treated is clean and shaved. It is vital that you do not remove any hair from the root in the run-up to your treatment, so no plucking, epilating or waxing. This is because the root is needed for the laser to do its job.

How Does Electrolysis Hair Removal Work?
Electrolysis hair removal involves the insertion of a very fine, sterile, probe into the hair follicle. A tiny amount of energy is then fed into the root of the hair, damaging it so that future hair growth cannot occur. Individual hairs are targeted one at a time.
The only sensation felt by the client is heat passing down the probe to the base of the follicle. The treatment of the hair root is achieved either by heat (thermolysis) or a chemical reaction (galvanic) or both (blend).

These variables include but are not limited to hereditary factors, hormone levels, previous hair removal methods, and client sensitivity. Why should I choose electrolysis over temporary methods like waxing?
Electrolysis removes hairs permanently from the undesired parts of the body, which other temporary treatments don’t. In addition to this it can treat all kinds of skin and hair on the face and body.
The methods like threading, plucking hairs with tweezers and waxing are temporary ways of getting rid of hairs from your body. HOW MICRO-NEEDLING WORKS
